To apply as a district substitute, visit any main office for a substitute packet.  The substitute packets are classified by the following positions.  All substitutes need to hold a valid NJ Department of Education Criminal History Clearance (cost $78.00).  In addition, substitute teachers need to hold either an NJ instructional certificate or a substitute certificate (minimum of 60 college credits).  Information on obtaining both are available in the substitute packet. 

Rates of Pay for the 2005-2006 school year will be as follows:

  • Teacher - $70.00 per day

  • Nurse - $90.00 per day

  • Instructional Assistant - $55.00 per day

  • Bus Driver - negotiable

  • Clerk/Secretary - $55.00-$70.00 per day

  • Monitor - $6.00 per hour

 The district payroll system operates on a bi-weekly basis.  Checks are available for pick-up on Friday before 12 noon.  After 12 noon the checks are mailed.  Substitutes may elect to have direct deposit into the bank of their choice.  If interested please see Pat Tilghman the Payroll Administrator.

- Substitute Hours Arrive/Leave - 7:05 a.m./2:10 p.m.

- Students Arrive/Leave - 7:15 a.m./2:00 p.m.

New Egypt Middle School

- Substitute Hours Arrive/Leave - 8:05 a.m./2:55 p.m.

- Students Arrive/Leave - 8:15 a.m./2:45 p.m.

Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School

- Substitute Hours Arrive/Leave - 8:45 a.m./3:40 p.m.

- Students Arrive/Leave - 9:00 a.m./3:30 p.m.

New Egypt Primary School

- Substitute Hours Arrive/Leave - 9:00 a.m. - 3:55 p.m.

- Students Arrive/Leave - 9:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
